We're getting together to push tech forward in Albuquerque and in education.
We'll host a full day of tech talks and code-labs on November 9th from 8:30AM to 6PM. Topics will cover AngularJS, Google Glass, Google Drive, Chrome Apps, HTML5, Android and more. Prizes will be given out for the coding sessions at the end of the event. (More prize and competition details to be announced. Stay tuned.) Breakfast, coffee, snacks, lunch, and dinner is included - as well as general swag and raffle giveaways. Check out our awesome t-shirt design! Join us later that evening around 6:30PM for a casual after party @ Bosque Brewing Company.
AngularJS has changed the way that client-side, browser-based apps are built by dramatically changing/simplifying the way that we think about client-side MVC in the browser. In this session we will quickly take you through some of my favorite bits about angular. This is definitely a hands-on session. Please come with git and node already installed.

Hacker for Movies
Light's, camera, action! See how web technologies have been brought to the big screen. We will go over how HTML5, WebRTC, NodeJS and HTML5 were used in productions filmed here in Albuquerque.
Lets look at an overview to see what it takes to setup a simple backend using python (Flask and MongoDB). You will learn how easy it is to wire your Android app to communicate with a database in the cloud via JSON.
Daniel Goddard introduces you to HTML5 and how easy it is to get started using the latest version of HTML to build web applications.
Get a welcome introduction to Android and Android Studio. We'll learn some Android jargon, project structure, xml layouts, and Android visual elements.
The first time I plugged in my Chromecast, I saw love. This little device has the potential of completely changing the way that we build apps for the home-entertainment center. Finally Google has given the Chrome team a shot at taking over the living room. And I, for one, am sold. Come check out the Chromecast, and see just how incredibly easy it is to build apps for this amazing device. At the end of the session, we will hand out a Chromecast to one of the attendees.
Brandon Baker goes a step further in your Android knowledge with tips and tricks to make your app awesome.
Join us @ Bosque Brewing Company just off of North San Mateo/Alameda & I-25 for our after-party starting at 6:30PM.
